ELANOR CHUAH is an illustrator currently based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Growing up with comics and cartoons, she now specialises in Narrative Illustrations. She started her career as a “furious doodler” in secondary school where she would ruin textbooks with her drawings. She later progressed to art school, graduating with a Diploma and a BA.
Elanor loves illustrating moments and mostly tackles those that bring a lot of joy and a lot of fear or sadness – like the anticipation of a kiss, or a near-death experience. While you might see some darkness in her work, she’s not above illustrating her cute cats.
While studying in the UK, her work was exhibited in New Designers in London. She also participated in a multinational picture book project, Pop Up Projects International Illustrators – Baltic States, funded by Arts Council England. In 2017, she became a published illustrator through the poetry book, Rising Stars.
When she’s not busy with her art, you can find her petting random kitties, as well as her own, and playing The Sims 4.
